3 Businesses That Truly Care About Their Communities Well-Being

3 Businesses That Truly Care About Their Communities Well-Being

This article was originally published on Teen Blurb.

This year, many companies are looking at charitable opportunities especially in wake of the current pandemic. Although many people see charitable donations as a monetary initiative, there are many other things companies are doing in order to ensure the well-being of their communities. There are so many companies that give back. In this article, I am going to focus on companies who make a direct impact based on every sale made. Some of these companies you’ve heard of and some you probably haven’t.

Here are 3 companies that have proven that they truly care about the well-being of their communities.

Burger Cases

Burger Cases is a New York City based start-up that sells phone cases, but of course there’s a catch. Burger Cases donates a burger to someone in need every time someone buys a phone case. They have dubbed this initiative their “1:1 promise” on their website. Their goal is not only to feed the hungry, but also give the people affected by hunger a platform to share their stories and inspire others to help the cause. Burger Cases is definitely an interesting concept and especially in that 99% of this world has a smartphone and most use a case to protect it.

Bombas

Bombas is a sock brand also based out of New York City. The company originally sold socks and began selling other apparel items in 2019 as a way to expand. For every item purchased, a clothing item is donated to a homeless shelter. Bombas is striving to make a difference and donate clothes to people that can’t afford to buy them themselves.

TOMS Shoes

TOMS Shoes is a shoe company based out of Los Angeles, California. Since 2006, they have given nearly 100 million pairs of shoes to the less fortunate. With a mission to put shoes on people’s feet, they are making a difference around the world.

What I admire most about these companies is that they all sell something everyone needs. If everyone spends a couple extra dollars in order to make a difference, these businesses can truly transform the world. Any effort, small or large, can make a world of a difference!
